Madagascar National park
Madagascar has more than 90% of endemic plant and animal species, which means unique in the world. Unfortunately, with continuing forest clearing and the illicit exploitation, the poaching, the taking away of fauna and the flora, the slash and burn cultivation, the precious wood business, the consumption of endangered animal species, all that involves into an environmental pollution with a result that animals and the plants are threatened of extinction. All in all, a great danger threatens the Red Island if nothing is done. Actions were carried out for the survival of these species, in other words, the classification of certain zones in protected areas, of which national parks. There are 15national parks of Madagascar distributed all over the Island from which here are the most visited are:

A national park is a place of characteristic biodiversity conservation to a country which presents a particular biological, archaeological or cultural value. Ecosystems are protected there, the preserved landscapes, and the cultural values are taken into account. Hunting, fishing or any other form of forestry developments or mining is not permitted to the risk to harm the animal and plant species occurring in the area. It should be noted that these endemic species are part of the Malagasy people national pride. The national parks are opened for the public with a ticket fee sold by ANGAP (National Association for the Management of the Protected Areas), created in 1990. The ANGAP works in partnership with International and foreign Institutions qualified in the management of the biodiversity and the management of the national parks. Thus it has the possibility of conveying new ideas and applying them in Madagascar. A guide will be given the responsibility to take the visitors through the various trails. 50% of the fees will go to Angap for the realization of its mission which consists of the ecosystem safeguarding, the biodiversity industrial research and ecological follow-up, environmental education developing the specificity of the protected surfaces, the ecotourism development forms for durable management of the biodiversity and the support of the development of the peripheral zones of the area. Adventure or nature lovers can contribute to the improvement of the local population conditions of living, a population who in fact are integrated in all the projects of development and who are aware of the systems applied. Environmental pollution causes, most of which caused by themselves, have been explained to the local population. Then after alternatives solutions are offered to them. In addition, the money earned by park guides, porters or rangers, such as lodging and the restoration, are sources of income, for the area involving the development of the bordering communities, therefore bringing an economic, regional, even national development. These parks are also places of leisure, relaxation, conservation and research. Some are devoted to ecotourism with many tourist trails and Reception Offices with eco-shops. Others are used to preserve endemic species. Others still are equipped with ecological systems follow-up with an aim of carrying out biodiversity inventories for purposes of possible research. Thus in a national park, the environment, as well as the landscape, fauna and the flora is protected. Visitors are well taken care of and enjoy certain wellbeing from the fact of being in symbiosis with nature. The local population is involved into getting a good profit from all the advantages which enable them to improve their conditions of living. So let’s join what is fun and useful.
