Because of its isolated situation in the middle of the Indian Ocean lasting a little more than 100 million years, Madagascar developed a very different flora from all the flora of the whole world. It has a strong rate of endemism as regards vegetations. More than 75% of the plant species which it presents only occurs on the island itself. In other words they do not remain nowhere else than in the Large island. The distinction of Madagascar was worth its given name as “nature sanctuary or naturalists paradise”. Scientists classified it as country with “mega biodiversity” which simply wants to say that almost all the plant species existing in Madagascar constitute rare resources which deserve protection and recognition of the planet.
